WEEK-END OF GRAPES

Where: Village of  Dzhigurovo 

When: Every week-end between September 22nd and December 16th, 2018

What:
Try grapes from the sandy slopes of Southern Pirin Mountains
See how interesting meals are prepared from grapes and other vine products
Make yourselves something delicious with those products

Why:
The area of Melnik and Sandanski has been a viticulture center for many centuries. The heavy red wine known as Broad-Leaved Melnik (Shiroka Melnishka Loza) is rumored to have been the favourite wine of Winston Churchill. Whether or not it is your favourite too, there is so much more you can get from the vines and put to use, be it grapes, raisins or even vine leaves!

For all week-ends

Programme:
Saturday forenoon – Culinary Session 1: Try
Saturday noon and afternoon – free time for you to look around, try other meals from local cuisine or simply rest before the next culinary delights
Saturday evening – Culinary Session 2: See (with dinner)
Sunday forenoon – Culinary Session 3: Make (followed by departure or more visits around the area).

Price: 125 BGN / 64 EUR / 3938 MKD per person, based on a minimum of 4 persons
The price includes:
– Three culinary sessions (Try, See and Make)
– Saturday Dinner
– Bed and breakfast on Saturday night
The price does not include:
– Lunch on Saturday and Sunday
– Visits to sites around the area
– Transport

Important to know:
Maximum number of visitors – 12 people
We can offer additionally accommodation (B&B) and dinner for Friday night for those of you who would like to arrive earlier
We can recommend places for lunch and site visits in the  destination
